The University of Akron Zips: Sports Illustrated League Banana Division Champions
With a 30-20 regular season record the Zips went on to take down Duke 3-2 in five games in the first round of the College World Series, followed by sweeping Penn State in four games. In the final round of the College World Series, the Zips won the best of 7 in game six by beating Augustana College.

Best Pitcher: Lou Kaizer – SP (senior) 11-3 2.84 era 114 IP 113 K (drafted #2 overall 2009)
