The new guys in the front office wasted no time attacking the salary blight that was threatening the financial stability of the Colorado Everest.  After some spirited negotiations with four teams, general manager Joe Geoghegan announced a multi-player deal with the Carson City Silver Strikers.  The quickness of the announcement and the magnitude of the deal caught some reporters by surprise, and the initial reaction among fans is mixed.

This is how the pitching rotation for the Oshawa Generals looks for the 2011 season:

Fiscal Nightmare in Colorado

New Owners Face Dollar D-Day
By Kirsten McFadden
Denver Post Staff Writer
New ownership has arrived in Denver to take over the foundering Colorado Everest franchise in the Classic Baseball Union (CBU).  The new brain trust will face an immediate financial crisis that threatens to throw the team into deep debt for a long time.  The sometimes unrealistic arbitration process in place in the CBU has resulted in a team payroll of in excess of $112 million.  That is $12 million over the league salary cap, and even more dauntingly, it is $22 …

A Great Season For Not

In Sioux Falls this season there was only one question that never got answered. What happened to the rotation? Last year’s ace and post season goat Will Hill left in free agency to pitch in Redbank, then went along to have a season ending injury. Lonnie Cole and Albert Rosas both battled old age and injuries. In 2009 the Giraffes never had much of a 5th starter, and 2010 was no change to that story. Christian Edgar the only mainstay from 2009 to 2010 went on to have a mediocre …
