CBU’s 1st All-Star Game

44,686 fans were in attendance in the Princeton Fieldhouse as the best of the best in the Classic Baseball Union battled it out in the league’s first All-Star game. On a cool night with a slight wind the Landis League and Giamatti League All-Stars took to the field for the 7:05 game time to begin writing history. Peds Hurler Kennedy Making His Mark

PEORIA, IL. – On July 1st, the Peoria Pedestrians currently sit in third place, 9 games back from 1st place, yet 3 games above .500. Not quite where they expected to be, though it’s not for lack of trying.  60% of the teams starting rotation has been lackluster, but 38 year old SP Clayton Kennedy has been one of their few bright spots.  Clayton was selected in the 6th round, already after the team had selected SP Jason “Pongo” Shaffer, but quickly became the teams ace.  Some media pundits have said …

E-Lima-nated!

Couldn’t ask for a better storybook ending, could you?
On Friday night, the Peoria Pedestrians played host to the Sioux Falls Uber Giraffes in the first home game for the franchise.  7,500 hundred fans recieved a limited-edition Emilio Lima bobblehead as a giveaway, hoping to draw more fans for the teams home opener.  More than 44,000 stayed to witness history.
