While Rapid City’s coaches are adamant that a platoon at 1B is the correct strategy, fans and upper management aren’t quite as confident. Up to this point in the season, the Outlaws have been starting left-handed Don Vogel against right-handed hurlers and right-handed Patrick Anthony against southpaws. The Rapid City Outlaws successfully wrapped up their spring training schedule earlier this week with a 10-3 victory over the Princeton Black Squirrels.  While some players impressed and others disappointed, the win capped a successful month for the franchise, who finished with a 15-9 record.
