July 16th is a huge day for over 300 youngsters. As 20 rounds of selections made by Classic Baseball Franchises will determine the futures will begin for these young men. In the CBU they follow the MLB model of draft pick compensation and don’t allow the trading of draft picks, however the signing bonuses are different and if you get drafted you get a minor league contract. The hold outs never happen, players that get drafted don’t go back to school. Its a done deal.
