October 27, 2011 - Tacoma gathered in its 4th The CBU Championship Series championship today and made it look easy. They swept the Nashville Legends in straight games, winning the series 4-0.

The Darners disposed of Nashville 6-2 in the series finale at Legends Ballpark. During the Landis League Frazee Division regular season Tacoma put up a 94-68 record and finished first.

The Darners become the first CBU team to win 4 Championships breaking their tie with the Brooklyn Blue Sox. David Martin put together another strong season for the Darners, as the now 28-year-old belted 30 homers, hit .337 and batted in 128 runners. In six seasons Martin has won two championships, collected 1,199 hits, 198 homers, and a .336 batting average. He is quickly become a CBU legend.

The Darners 2011 Championship represents the 12th Trophy for the Landis League. The Giamatti trails behind with just 6 in the 18 years of CBU play.
