Chants of “Thank you, Parasites” reverberated all around the ballpark when it was over.
But in the losing dugout, sadness reigned. Commenting to reporters, the Blue Sox skipper described what it’s like to lose. “Your heart is heavy… you are hurting… it’s a very difficult time. And to be swept… it’s embarrassing. You just want to forget it ever happened.”
But it was a season to remember for the Portland Parasites. Their season record was 84-78 and good enough for third place in the Landis League Frazee Division. Then they topped it off by winning the The CBU Championship Series 4-0.
What a year!
