The Dragons started off their Championship run after winning their second Rickey Division title. 3B - Cal Redmond and SS - Michael Herald carried the dragons on their back by combining for 55 home runs, 211 RBIs, and almost 400 hits.

The Dragons carried a storied trend in the CBU, pitching wins championships. The staff led by Bob Faulkner (17-10 3.64), Alonso Aguilar ( 7-16 4.17), Ralph Brown (18-6 3.39) and closed by Bob Sheffield (45 saves 2.95).

The Dragons showed that you don’t have to necessarily be the best team to win the top prize in the Classic Baseball Union, but it pays to get hot when it matters most.

The Dragons get their first championship in two tries, and bring the CBU Trophy back to the Giamatti League after a 3 year absence. Giamatti League now trails the Landis League 10 to 6.
