Transaction News

Jeff White was picked up through wavers this morning, marking the first transaction made by GM Houser and his staff in Houston. The 30 year old reliever was claimed under the need for a strong armed hold man and that is exactly what they got. Scouts picked him to be a decent Mid-Reliever with a bonus fast ball. In this regard, White was clocked at 95-97 last week and was reported as having a tuned up curveball will minimal movement, but great force behind it. The curve will not be a factor as the management hopes to throw him in between the other various hurlers with better off-speed equipment to throw off the names at the Pentagon.
In other news, two farm hands were lost in the rule V draft after Houser decided that they would be of little use on the active roster this coming season and decided that the contract money to keep them would out-weigh the advantages. With the conversion to X, all players on the 40 man roster must be invited to the Spring Time Show. Houser kept this in mind, but decided not to wait and waive them later on. Either way, these players now get a chance at a full season of High Level ball; something they would not see for a while inside the current system.

Hope he’s a good pickup for you. He can strike some people out but lefties hit over .300 against him at my park (which has a short left field). I still like him too as he was one of the few to make it through the whole season without any major injuries!
