Houston Announces the Farm System
Whether a person is grinding out the vast hours of a road trip on back of a Harley or nestled high up in a seat flying over the expanse of diverse land forms, one thing is always true, Texas is a unique place. With this in mind, the owners of the Houston Woodland Baseball club feel it is important to offer a firsthand look at what makes individuals proud to be a Texan. The pure natural beauty which ranges from whistling willows on the hills of the Great Plains to the north; to the mysterious never ending pines of the east; and finally to the ever changing palms of the gulf coast will leave an individual breathless. This is why the HWBC feels the need to bring all into one, big family of truly great teams.

Waco Willows
With all of the other big cities nestled in and around the rolling plains of northeast Texas, Waco is among the finest. This city is truly a historic location which can boast the fact that if a religious cult is not shooting at the FBI, the Republic of Texas will be. Among other things, Waco is also well known for its beautiful scenery throughout the city, in which the choice of a willow to be the representative tree for this town derives directly from the local flora and fauna which can be seen resting under the waving limbs of the vast numbered Willows throughout the city. Therefore, when traveling through the sprawling streets of Waco a person will always hear two things: nature and baseball. Thus leading to the fact that everyone here feels that an opportunity to host a ball club at the high AAA level is truly an honor and an accomplishment.

Huntsville Pine Trees
If convicts are not getting smoked in the hot seat, they are escaping by foot through the snake infested swamp lands of the Huntsville piney woods. A long time favorite spot of interest around the US, Huntsville offers a small town environment for a price that only a party school city could provide. The seats will be cheap and the players well conditioned for the chance to make a leap into the higher levels here. Just as well, the local need for entertainment made this location a must for the HWBC to relocate their AA facilities to.

Gulf Coast Maples
The move to Corpus Christi was in direct response to the higher administrations’ need to counter the Houston Astros farm club in gate revenues in the Texas League. Even though many people don’t feel that this club will bring in any money, the fact that a few seats will be sold in the newly built Maple Center will definitely cripple the Astros fan base in this area of Texas. Also worth mentioning here, this location was the only spot which the HWBC could set up shop do carryout such an idea, and the settling condition on this was that only a single A side could be place here.

Galveston Palms
A long time sister city to Houston, Galveston is a perfect spot to send rookies to develop their skills. The year around sunny weather never drops to freezing and the historical sites around the city offer a player an opportunity to become attached to the ball club’s system. Add in the festive nature of the city and you got a perfect vacation spot to manage the lower farmhands.
